Aubrey, Lesane, and Christopher
started from Degrassi, then he’s hood/
explain that… wish somebody would/
Tupac was a phony gangster, too/
Trying to prove his toughness made him bid adieu/
that is to say, it brought about his end/hanging out with street dudes, convinced they were his friends/
what about the late, great B.I.G.?/
linking up with mobsters made him R.I.P./
what’s the lesson here that we can learn?/
tryna prove your toughness will only get you burned/
if that’s not who you are, then don’t pretend/
that’s not who I am and the frauds I won’t defend/
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight/
every day, for 20 minutes, I try to meditate/
one, two, three, four// want to see more/
five, six, seven, eight// might hit heaven’s gate/

Love
say “adaptation,” not “adaption”/
mute the movie, read the captions/
blast good music from contraptions/
instrumentals made with passion/
so damn tired of distractions/
gotta let go of attachments/
let’s not split up into factions/
stupid gangs with stupid captains/
break it down like simple fragments/
love’s the answer we must access/

love is merely conscious action/
